Alison Slater is an internationally-trained Physiotherapist, graduating from the University of New South Wales followed by Cumberland College of Health Sciences in 1986. With a wealth of post-graduate study behind her, including a Master of Manual Therapy from the University of Western Australia where she graduated at the top of her year, Alison offers 24 years of knowledge and practical clinical experience. Alison maintains an Adjunct Teaching Fellowship with this same University, having been offered the role shortly after graduating.
Alison’s area of special interest is the spine, and specifically, the sacrum/pelvis. She has undertaken countless post-graduate education Courses, and has taught extensively throughout the United Kingdom and Australia in Muscle Energy Technique, through Manual Therapy Seminars of the UK and Complementary Health Seminars, respectively. She also has extensive experience in Craniosacral Therapy, Dry Needling, Myofascial Release, Mulligan Technique and manual therapy assessment and treatment, without the use of machinery! Alison also offers EMG Biofeedback and Real Time Ultrasound as assessment and teaching aids to enhance the learning experience of her clientele to maximise their understanding of any muscle deficiencies. Alison comes to Bounce Back with an increasing interest in functional rehabilitative concepts, to offer a union of an holistic approach, backed up by the latest in research findings from around the globe. Her aim is to create the ideal environment for optimal recovery from pain and injury with a view to empowering clientele by equipping them with the tools required to self-manage effectively.
